You're ready to purchase a home, now what?
The first thing you should do is sit down with a mortage broker (loan officer) and get pre-qualified.
During the pre-qualification process you will learn how much home you can afford and how much down payment you'll need.
If you have any credit issues, your mortgage broker may be able to assist you in clearing up these issues.
Next, find a real estate agent you feel comfortable working with and one who will listen to what YOU want.
If you want to be represented fully, it is in your best interest to work with a buyer's agent, not the listing agent.
Make your home "wish list" but be realistic.
